Dr. Stefan Gehring

Dr. Stefan Gehring

Dr. Gehring has been General Counsel and Group Compliance Officer at Munich RE since January 1, 2021. After studying law in Tübingen and Freiburg, Dr. Gehring earned his doctorate in European law in Düsseldorf. He then worked as a lawyer in Düsseldorf and Brussels in the areas of M&A and antitrust law/merger control. After a brief stint as a public prosecutor, Dr. Gehring worked as a corporate lawyer at the BAYER Group. From 2008 to 2013, he was Head of Legal, Compliance, and Patents at the Polymer Division (now Covestro). He then served as Head of Legal, Compliance, and Patents at the HealthCare/Pharma Division and as a member of the Pharmaceuticals Executive Committee until December 2020.

Birgit Hiller

Birgit Hiller

Birgit Hiller has been head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Continental AG since September 2021. Prior to that, she was responsible for internal communications and public relations at BMW Group production plants worldwide. Communication in all its facets has been the focus of Birgit Hiller's professional career for 15 years. Prior to that, she worked in the areas of organizational development, human resources policy and strategy.

Dr. Thomas Jelitte

Dr. Thomas Jelitte

Dr. Thomas Jelitte is managing partner and head of Kapellmann's Düsseldorf office. As a lawyer, he advises both clients and contractors in and out of court on all matters relating to architectural and private construction law. His main focus is on advising on major projects and complex procedures. He also represents clients in banking matters. Dr. Jelitte is a lecturer at the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences and at the Technical University of Dortmund and is the chairman of the board of the association for the promotion of the Heinrich Heine birthplace – Literaturhaus Düsseldorf.

Dr. Bruno Kahl

Dr. Bruno Kahl has been President of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) since 2016. Prior to that, he headed the management teams of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Ministry of Finance. After his legal clerkship in Bonn, Speyer and Sydney, he worked as a consultant in the Federal Chancellery. Dr. Bruno Kahl also completed a journalistic training at the Catholic Journalism School ifp in Munich.

Prof. Thomas Klindt

Prof. Thomas Klindt

Prof. Thomas Klindt is a partner at the law firm Noerr, where he has worked since 2005. He co-heads the Product Liability & Product Compliance team and is responsible for the Litigation PR division. As an industrial lawyer with extensive experience in handling product liability crisis scenarios, he represents companies in product liability court proceedings and has overseen numerous cross-border product recalls, including the necessary communication with the authorities. He also teaches as an honorary professor of European Product and Technology Law at the University of Bayreuth.

Andreas Lampersbach

Andreas Lampersbach is Head of Global Communications at the Munich RE insurance group. Prior to that, he was head of communications and brand management at ERGO Versicherungsgruppe AG in Düsseldorf. From April to November 2015, he was head of communications for corporate and business at Volkswagen AG. He has been responsible for global communications at MAN since 2009. Before joining MAN, Lampersbach was head of department at the Hannoversche Allgemeine daily newspaper. Lampersbach studied law at the University of Hannover from 1983 to 1989, graduating with the second state examination. He then completed a traineeship at the Hannoversche Allgemeine.

Andreas Mundt

Andreas Mundt

Andreas Mundt has been President of the German Federal Cartel Office since December 2009. He has been a member of the OECD Competition Committee since 2010 and Chairman of the Steering Group of the International Competition Network since 2013. After studying law and passing the second state law examination, Mundt worked for the Federal Ministry of Economics from 1991. From 1993, he worked as a consultant for the FDP parliamentary group. In 2000, Mundt joined the Federal Cartel Office, where he initially worked as an associate judge, then as head of the department for international competition issues and finally as head of the department for fundamental issues of competition law.

Born in 1979, studied economics and politics in Cologne and Stockholm, while attending the Cologne School of Journalism. 2006 to 2016 business editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. 2016 to 2022 at DIE ZEIT as deputy head of the business section and head of DIE ZEIT's Frankfurt office. Since October 2022, head of the business editorial team at Süddeutsche Zeitung. She has received several awards, including the Herbert Quandt Media Prize, the Ludwig Erhard Prize and the German Journalism Prize twice. In 2019, she was named one of the ten business journalists of the year by Medium magazine.

Maximilian Schwärecke

Maximilian Schwärecke is an attorney and works as a consultant at CONSILIUM Rechtskommunikation. He advises primarily on strategic communication in (out-of-court) disputes and cross-border proceedings at CONSILIUM Rechtskommunikation. Before joining CONSILIUM as a consultant, he worked as a lawyer in a leading international law firm in public commercial law. He completed his legal training at the Berlin Court of Appeal, Humboldt University Berlin and Tongji University in Shanghai.

Mark Turnage is CEO and co-founder of DarkOwl. The company specializes in monitoring darknets and providing darknet data to law enforcement, governments, and cybersecurity companies. Prior to DarkOwl, Mark Turnage was CEO of OpSec Security Group, the world's largest provider of technology to combat product counterfeiting and protect online brands. Before becoming a consultant at McKinsey & Co., Turnage worked as an attorney at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP. Mark Turnage has served on numerous corporate boards and is an active investor in the technology industry. He is a graduate of Yale Law School, Oxford, the University of Colorado, and the American University in Cairo, where he currently serves as chair of the board of trustees.

Angela Wefers set up the Berlin editorial office of the Börsen-Zeitung in 1991 and has been a political reporter since 1995. Her topics are German financial, budgetary and tax policy, regulatory policy, economic and economic policy. She has been an honorary member of the board of the Federal Press Conference since 1999.

Dr. Karina Viktoria Zastrow is a consultant at CONSILIUM Rechtskommunikation and a business mediator. After her studies, she worked in the field of restructuring and insolvency administration at a leading international commercial law firm. Dr. Zastrow provided support in the classic tasks of insolvency administration. At the same time, the consultant completed her doctorate on the topic “The Media Work of a Criminal Defense Attorney”. At CONSILIUM Legal Communication, she focuses on advising on commercial criminal proceedings and insolvency law.
